Question cam chain adjuster update .

Honda mech. looked it up and told me there had been a updated tensioner after my 1999. Wonder if since I have warranty till 2010 Honda would install one to avoid engine later possibly ??

I don't work for a dealer, so it's obviously not "the final answer" and excuse my sarchasm, but in my experience, no dealer will fix anything proactivly. They can't, because they have to submit the repair for reimbursement, and if nothing is broken, there's no repair to submit.

Having worked as a mechanic for a few years and now working at napa, I'd have to say bluevtr hit the nail on the head. They are not gonna fix **** if they don't have to. Hell, they'll look for loopholes to deny warrenty work, let alone prevenative matience!
