bt016 tire pressures?

ive been playing with the tire pressure on my bike and this year im riding alot more aggressively than i was last year and i started finding that the bike almost felt like it was loosing the *** end in really sharp corner, best way to describe it is that i was leaning and id lean it a bit harder and it felt like i rolled over a ledge of sorts. so i checked the pressure, cold it was 36 front and rear. i talked to some guys and they said thats fine for hiway touring but for the stuff were doing its too much. so i aired down to 32 cold and last night after my ride the rear after cooling for a few minutes was at 38 which seems high. my question is this, to the guys running the bt016s and doing alot of aggressive turning, even track days on these days, what are your cold tire pressures front and rear?

im asking here and not in a generic bike forum because its bike specific i feel, between the weight of the bike and its handling characteristics and the same tire id get a better answer here.

also whats the max id want to see the hot pressures get and still have a tire with lots of traction?

On the street, I run 36F, 42 Rear. Never had an issue anytime. We ride normal to really aggressive. On the track, 32F,30R. cold settings

that falling of the edge is what i experience on my front tire when i lean over hard, past the point of where it was leaned over before...so its a fresh tire thing. it feels like your bike just fell over for a split second.

i run 36 rear and 34 front and its worked fine for me. had the rear at 32 last weekend to try it out and it was balling up too much for a regular type riding.

i run 30f/28r cold now for the present Q2s and previously for the bto-16 and I minimize straight roads like they make me sick. I weigh about 175lbs with rt fork springs and JD modded rear shock.

excellent thats the info i was looking for thanks alot guys.

redliner thats the exact same feeling im talking about. the tires been over almost all the way the chicken strips are tiny 1/4 inch at best. but im guessing since i dont spend much time on the edge that far that its just some sort of a flat sport that im working in as you mentioned. good to hear.

i tried running 42 last year in my bt021st that came with the bike and i found the bike was coming out a little in some corners so i dropped to 36 cold and it felt better. im just about to head out again ill adjust the pressure one more time as its cooled off from this afternoon.

thanks again for the info
