ahhhhh my friggin tank!!!

so today i am trying to get at the fuel level sending unit to see why it is fubar and of course i learn 2 things. 1 that the unit is broken because it has a bad wire in the slidey-do under the cover thingy. 2. that in the process of gaining access to my unit that i succeeded in scratching the back of the tank just above the seat.

how cani fix my roomates bike and never go wrong, on my bike, always end up making it worse!!!

note to self, find sending unit, and try and get cheap red tank sans scratches

You might gives a tryin to the super shiny polish mo-jigger thingy
AKA a buffer and some colored touch up paint from a auto paint a body.
alot of them can mix and put in a spray can or bottle for like 10 bucks
then you can touch up and sand touch up sand etc till it goes bye bye

ummm actually I dont think you have to remove the tank to get at that thinga ma jig..I already had mine off for carb work in my case..but remove the two front bolts and simply rotate the tank up and back....of course the tank shoud be pretty close to empty when you do this...you should have enough room to use a 1/4 inch drive and socket to get it all done in and out... thats how I get at my airbox too
