Haha, I thought it had something to do with the chain always being an even number of links, but now I'm not so sure... I'm sure the math is somewhere, don't have time to look for it right now...

Dang I never even bothered to look down the page on that gearing commander!
Just playing with it a bit, it appears that wherever I read the divisible by itself rule was dead wrong... but the first part (the one that HRCA mentioned) holds some value. Cool!
