929 front end and Helibars (TL1000 or CBR), measurements?

We know the TL1000 Heli's work almost perfect, as do the 929's with a little tweaking. Can somebody with either measure the distance from the to of the part mounting the fork tube to the bottom of the bar itself?

I'm seeing quite a few stock bars on Ebay for 50 mm forks that look like they may have the necessary rise, and figure at 1/6 the cost of Heli's, they are worth a shot!

I've got 929 heli bars but I can't measure right now I'll try to post up later.
Did you try a search I think vtromey had a list from helibars that had all the different heights.

I just got a set of Convertibars for my VTR with 954 forks. I would highly recommend them over helibars. I got mine for $298 shipped with the winter06 promo code.

Thanks, I'll check those out! That clipon risers idea looks promising too.

I'll keep digging... after tonights episode of 24

Just measured them and from the bend to the bottom of the bar it's 1.5 inches,(sorry can't find my metric ruler). They look a little different then the picture you've got but the bend would be where the bottom weld is. Hope this helps you out.

Hey Speed, how's the Convertibars fit on the VTR?

Correct me if I've wrong but I think you are making a naked VTR with 929/954 fork, right?

If yes, top fairings clearance is not an issue for you with the Convertibars. But how about those, like me, who would like to keep the fairings, do you think it will work, is it will require fairing trimming?

The thing that make me hesitate most is the clearance on each side of the fork, like 50mm fork are much wider than the stock VTR, do you think the Cyclop clamp of the Convertibars will clear the side fairings?

Many thanks in advance for your help and if you could post pics of your new convertibars installation, it will be very appreciated!
