50MM clip ons

Im going back and fourth on my RC51 fork setup that Im finishing. I need a set of clip ons for it but not certain if I want clip ons or I want handle bars. I have been looking though the adds and boy aftermarket kits are expensive! I found out that the RC51 fork is 50mm, which means I can use any 50mm clip on. I noticed that the 929 clip ons are raised up which means I may be able to get the desired rise without using a set of bars. I was wondering if anyone has looked into this or knows of other clip ons that I can use. Thanks a bunch! I hope this post wasn't too conveluded... lol

superhawk22 is an unknown quantity at this point
Because the RC forks are the same length as the stock ones you can use just about any 50mm clip-on and mount them on top. You can use TLR, TLS, GSXR,(any usd gsxr), CBR's,(with usd) aftermarket clip-ons would probably work best though because you can replace just the bar if you happen to drop it.

just a thought
but you could use Vortex clip ons, and mount them in reverse (upside down and backwards, if that makes any sense) like i did

id gives a decent rise and straightens them out

plus Vortex are like $100

its an improvement over OEM, thats for sure

i wish i had compared and did some measurements, but i didnt

how it compares to Heli, I dont know. Ive never had them

if i had to guess id say its about an inch up, maybe 1/2 inch back. they also allow you to mount them fully extended, which makes your arms set out wider, making it of course a bit different in turning them.

i can try to get more pics of them tonight if you want

I am going to try convetibars when I get the time. Look at ther web site to see if they have what you want. Not cheap around $350.00 to $400.00 for everything.

Funny I was walking in a parking lot and looking over a 954 sitting there and noticed what a large rise the bars have. I'm in the same boat, in the middle of an RC51 front end swap as well. Have a look at them-there must have been a several inch rise from the clamp to the bar-much higher looking than 929 or rc51 clip ons. Going to try and find a pair myself.

Im going to try out the 954 clip ons because of their rise and the fact that they will fit my RC forks. I also found them for 50 bucks for the pair... A little more than I wanted to pay but it should get the job done. More info later. Maybe even some pics!
