Fred Dech, 51, of Chicago, has died this morning after losing control of his motorcycle on the southbound Dan Ryan Expressway.
The motorcycle accident happened as Dech was driving his Honda motorcycle. He hit a car in front of him on the expressway and lost control.
According to Illinois State Police, the accident happened at approximately 9:23 a.m. on the Dan Ryan Expressway (Interstate 94) at 51st Street.
The Cook County medical examiner's office has said that Fred Dech was pronounced dead at 11:25 a.m. at Stroger Hospital of Cook County.

I am terribly sorry for your loss. You and your family have my deepest condolences.
I spoke with Fred a couple of months ago and had sent him a part.
He was a very nice man and he will be missed.
