Fred Dech was killed in a motorcycle accident
Hello. I am Fred Dech's wife & I wanted everyone on the forum to know Fred was killed in a Motorcycle Accident on Monday, 7/18 at 11:25. We will be having a memorial for him in November. an Dies In Motorcycle Accident On Chicago's Dan Ryan Expressway

Fred Dech, 51, of Chicago, has died this morning after losing control of his motorcycle on the southbound Dan Ryan Expressway.
The motorcycle accident happened as Dech was driving his Honda motorcycle. He hit a car in front of him on the expressway and lost control.
According to Illinois State Police, the accident happened at approximately 9:23 a.m. on the Dan Ryan Expressway (Interstate 94) at 51st Street.
The Cook County medical examiner's office has said that Fred Dech was pronounced dead at 11:25 a.m. at Stroger Hospital of Cook County.

Fred was an active forum member right to the end, and had intentions of making it to the Wisconsin/Illinois gathering. This is sad to hear. I hope that we can make it to the memorial in November.

That is horrible news.
I am terribly sorry for your loss. You and your family have my deepest condolences.
I spoke with Fred a couple of months ago and had sent him a part.
He was a very nice man and he will be missed.
