would you wear this?
Stumbled upon this website today
http://www.udreplicas.com/
Who would wear any of this gear on a normal everyday basis?

that is wild. no chance of wearing it. I love batman, but wow. Although one of the links does say its 'sold out' already - I must be gettting old and out of touch.
I like the exoskeleton approach but worry that all those pads would be able to rotate a lot in an actual crash at speed and not do their job.

I already have visions of leaping from my motorcycle in a physics defying manner, head first with arms flexed and body stretched out to land on some villain's fleeing vehicle. Punching through the cabin roof and pulling them up by their collar, tossing them aside and leaping back onto the motorcycle. If I bought the wolverine suit I would try to make that a reality every day...

Funny, because I was going to be batman for holloween and wear my Kobe suit, it looks close enough to batman, but I couldn't find a good mask....that said, I'll pass on the movie replica and stick to something that is proven to work.

Whoda thot that a geekfest like comicom would have so much motorcycling interest? And if sexual reproduction isn't on the horizon, where do all the little geeks come from? Darwin is hard enough on our hobby but to wear something in public that screams 'avoid me, don't touch' makes me think isolationism would be an inhibiting factor.

All jokes aside when I'm heading out to seriously shred,I wear a one peice suit.My wife likes it but I've been openly teased by strangers so it may as well been a batman suit. Not that I care I told them to get bent.Just sayin.

Bud o' mine who used to ride semi-pro gave me a one-piece red/blue Vanson and all I need is a Spiderman mask. I haven't worn it around here yet. Where I live, ya invite trouble with something like that. Would have to ride and not stop anywhere unless it was beside the gas pump to top off n take off. lol

Ok, not the Batman.... I dont have the Pecs for it. The Tron is a thought for the reflective areas....but with the movie hype and all...
How about this, a nice one piece with tasteful reflective areas but not a movie wannabe type thing? Add some well placed armor at a reasonable price and I might go for it.
NOT!!!!!!

Call me crazy but I like the Tron suit. It claims it is functional armor so I don't see the problem. I was actually thinking of buying the jacket to ride around in when it gets colder or at night. Yes, I am a geek on two wheels :P

The Tron suit is kinda neat, considering the new movie and all. It's only like a grand and the damn thing doesn't even light up. It's got " Light Sensitive Reflective Accents".

Where's the Power Ranger ****, how could they leave out the mutant Ninja Turtles? If they had a Barney outfit, I'd be in. On the other hand, if you're wearing this stuff, at least you're not pretending to be anything but a poseur
