What do you use to care for your leathers?
I use Lexol brand cleaner and conditioner. It simply rocks. My Alpinestars Jacket Was stiff as hell and a little dirty when I bought it, now it looks new and is very supple and flexible. Reccomended to help break in leathers much faster. I use it on my lambskin dress jacket and leather dress shoes and it works superbly.
Our leathers are expensive! So take care of them. A little conditioning every now and then will keep the colors from fading and helps with water repellancy.

I only have a leather jacket... Bug guts, wind, lot's of sun, and the occasional rain storm. It's soft as a babies butt after a couple years.. oh, and a 60 mph slide on the pavement. That probably did more than anything.

I use something similar call Assfault. A combination of my ***, my fault, and some cool pavement. Also helps the leather breathe. Can be quite enjoyable to use as long as you have cleared the area you will be working to provide a smooth surface with which to apply the somewhat abrasive solution.
Reason #3956 why I hate squids...they show up at the track and become unpredictable rolling barriers.

In my haste to pass one of their rolling road blocks 3 of them had set up, I jammed on the throttle to take them on the outside of an off camber turn and instantly went from dragging a knee to dragging my *** while the bike skidded down the track. No major damage luckily, just scrapes so I was able to continue after that session and all day the next day at Road Atlanta. I can't count on both hands how many times I almost crashed into these new riders cause they were just cruising the track, taking whatever line they wanted, and if they forgot where it was they would swerve across the track to where it was supposed to be. And the straightaways...maybe I missed the speed limit sign? But I don't think I did. The difference between 168mph and 110mph is very significant when trying to overtake someone oblivious to the fact that there are other riders on the track. Sorry for the rant and thread jack, it was just one of the worst days as far as a lot of newer riders on the track. The rain scared most of them off the second day so I had a lot more fun.

There are four stages in leather care that include cleaningconditioning, polishing, and protection. When perusing the store shelves for a product that fits your needs, be watchful for what kind of product you're purchasing. It can be confusing to try and figure out which product is for which stage, but look for words that explain how the product is to be used. It is also important to remember to work on your leather in a well-ventilated area. Some leather care products are very strong and can cause irritations.
