Gel pad gloves

I am looking at the Tourmaster TS-2 gloves which have a gel pad on the heel of the palm. I also saw some Olympia gel pad gloves at Cycle Gear that had more gel pads in the heel of the palm area that looked thicker but they didn't have XL in stock. Tourmasters are $53 and the short Olympia's are $34. They had Olympia gel sport gloves that were longer in the wrist gauntlet area but they were $60.

I could be real comfortable with my stock bars with some better gloves. The gel takes some of the pressure off the heel of your palm. I use Tourmaster ventilated summer gel pad gloves now and they worked fine on my other bike but not enough padding on the Superhawk.

I wear Bell gel pad bicycle gloves when I ride my dirt bike and my forearms never pump up. What other brands/models of gel pad gloves does everyone like?

Re: Gel pad gloves

I use Olympia gel pad gloves in both summer and winter flavors and highly recommend them. According to them, the gel is NOT to help with hand pressure in extreme hand positioning sush as with sport bikes low clip ons rather it's to reduce vibration. The longer you ride, the better these are.

I get mine at newenough.com

Re: Gel pad gloves

I have the Olympia gloves with the full gauntlet . I'm just bought my second pair (after 4 seasons of daily use and 80k mi the old ones finally wore out) I will ware them well into the summer and winter even though I have summer and winter glves because they are the most comfortable gloves I own.

I would suggest you try a pair on before you buy. Most everything I buy is either XL or XXL, but the LG Olympiafit perfectly.
