? best kind of street leather riding pants

Question who makes the best street riding pants made out of leather but without knee pucks but still maybe some protection. I don’t want to look like I’m on the racetrack. All I have right now are chaps like the Harley guys have or full blown race pants. I still want the leather because I live in Wisconsin and its nice to block out the cold in the morning when I ride to work at 6am. Otherwise Its down to the Harley shop for just a pair of leather pants not quite what I want.

Shift makes these-

Icon, Firstgear, and Tourmaster also have some. AGV too I think.

Which is better? I have no idea.

Well, most pucks are attached via velcro so pretty much any leather sport pant can be made to look not so "racey".

That being said I have enjoyed my Frank Thomas pants.

Ive got 2 sets of Joe Rocket street pants. One perforated, one not. They have foam knee pads built in, but no sliders.

Very good quality, I wear them under jeans.

Just picked up a Tourmaster leather jacket and Decker model leather pants. I think they're right up your alley and priced pretty reasonably. No pucks, pretty heavy leather (double in *** and knees) and lined. Work great over dress pants, jeans, etc. Only negative so far is they'd be better with belt loops or maybe you can find some heavy suspenders. When zipped to the jacket, or sitting on your bike, it's not an issue. Newenough also carries them. Good luck!

You might consider some synthetic overpants like those made by Aerostich - http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/...p-1-c-248.html

They have built-in armor, zippers galore, good wind protection ....

I have a set of Honda Racing Leathers. I know, they look racy! The pants are very nice with velcro for pucks when needed.
