Unreal

Went to my local Honda dealer to pick up the "Carb gasket kit" I payed for in advance and ordered through their parts guy. It showed up a week later than worse case, and I felt no need to rush in to get it since I already had the carb issues fixed without it. Anyhow when I get there there are 2 ziplocks containing a total of 8 little orings. This set me back over $15. I am not cheep, but lets get real. The kicker is that it didnt have the one gasket for the float bowl to carb body that I needed. All I got was some bad mouthing from the guy about his coworker. The same guy doing the bashing hadnt even heard of a superhawk......OMG
Anyways stupid me needed some other gaskets and ordered them up to a tune of over $50

If anyone has a source for good superhawk small parts such as rebuild kits, gaskets, etc., I'd sure be all ears.

Thanks, Walt

Most of my OEM parts come from ronayers.com

I ordered a set of float bowl gaskets from the dealer about 6 months ago. They were pricey, but they weren't $50. More like half that, and they're still sitting in my toolbox, since the old ones are still pliable. BikeBandit shows them for $10.53 each. So if you paid $50 you might want to look for a different dealer in the future.

May have helped to do a search online. I just picked up a carb rebuild kit for my Bandit for $80 + shipping. It included the float bowl to carb body gasket and various o rings as well as a new float needle and needle seat. Considering that covered 4 carbs I'd agree that you payed a little too much. As has been stated, find a new dealer.

The float bowl gasket is a rubber o-ring type.

By the way, not all "o-ring" type gaskets are round.
