That britten looks pretty cool... I didn't see a street legal model though... 60 degree vtwin with a belt drive... pretty cool stuff. A bit close to a buell though... well not really... but I'd ride that bike.

I rode a Buell 1125R a couple o' times, the one with a Rotax engine, it hauled ass, but hopefully some aftermarket company will make some better bodywork for it...cuz it's kinda fugly...but a blast on a roadcourse, ooops, pardon the pun...yuk,yuk

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a big fan of Harley Davidson. I've never like their style of bikes or the hype that has seemed to follow it. I have a couple of buddies at work who own harleys and we constantly give each other crap. After last months accident I've really had some time to think about all the fun I've had with riding and how fortunate I am to be alive. I ran across this Harley and actually thought it was one of the most unique production machines they have made. I'm really debating about picking it up as a replacement commuter for me. Tell me what you guys think

No, don't do it. You'll never forgive yourself...and neither will I. Though, if you do get buyer's remorse I've heard the resale is decent on them.

i dont hate harleys, i would never get a sportster though, its like bottom of the barrel - they dont look good and they are poorly made - 1200cc on a harley is not the same as 1000cc on a SH ;)

i think some hd look really good and they are confortable to ride and most of the time the drivers are cool, usually wave back or the first to wave.

i dont think i would ever get a HD unless it was a reasonable price - ie, really cheap hehe

My other options are either a V-Max or DR650

Hawkrider 01-20-2008 07:26 PM

Yamaha Warrior  The only cruiser I'd probably buy if given a choice.

v-max are cool, at least they look cool :) idk, i never rhode one but they look like fun bikes

good friend of mine has a dr400 and thats fun as hell but it really depends on what you want to do, i can imagine the 650 has a lot more power probably fun to throw around too

commuting, I'm basically looking for something that will handle all weather conditions and all temperatures and that I can ride daily.

Veles 01-21-2008 11:31 AM

have you looked into sport tourers or other cruisers because there are some nice ones and they cost a lot less than a harley

that nightster is growing on me though, it looks pretty cool but its still a sportster, its going to suck riding it :)

vmax seem like totally cool bikes though, i heard they are pretty fast esp for the year they were designed

I've looked at others but for some reason that Harley looks pretty good to me. I've always been a big fan of the V-Max so that's still an option

Yeah the bike sounds sweet, I scrolled through the vids and found the one of it getting wheelied.....nice..

Veles 01-24-2008 12:15 PM

that pretty sweet! that silver one looks good too!

FL02SupaHawk996 01-24-2008 01:30 PM

Sgt, don't do it!

It's not that it's not a cool bike, but any Harley rider that rides a bigger bike will call it a girl's bike and they get so caught up in it that they will make you wish you never bought it:( I talked to a bigger Harley rider just last week at a bar here in FL and he was such an A--hole towards folks who ride any other type of bike that I'd never want to join his insecure ranks!

My 2 cents...:gatlin:
