Ebay buyer dicks!
Listed some stuff on squeeze-bay last week.. 7 day listing... guy bids on it on second day... talked to him before the bid was over.. no problems... now, two days after the auction ended, have sent him an invoice and multiple messages with NO RESPONSE!.. WTF?!?!
SO here I am sitting on $2500+ worth of stuff that suposedly sold.. ebay wants their money... I want mine.. and he's either dragging his *** or not gonna pay. I havent shipped it yet, and I'm sure Ebay will dropp the charges.. but damn.
rant over.

My brother purchased a turbo kit for his car (against my advice) from a speed shop in NC. He got it, put it all together and it ran for about 2 miles. The turbo was a knock-off and the casting or barrings were bad. Fins hit the wall of the turbo and disintegrated. $800 wasted and the guy was nowhere to be found. He did the same thing to a bunch of people. Ebay said they were taking action and he might get his money back...but that was 2 years ago now.

Another reason why I don't do regular auctions anymore...I set mine up with a Buy Now, and it is an immediate payment with paypal, or the item does not close...That way I get my money regardless...
Yes you will get your selling fee's back, but you loose your listing fee's...you can always offer it to the next highest bidder...
Sorry dude, that sucks!

A couple of years ago, I sold an old 76 Kawasaki KZ900 on ebay to a guy in Indiana. After the auction closed and he won, he tells me he is not buying it as his father-in-law became sick and he needed the money for medical bills. I'm like ok, just cover my fees for selling it and his wife emails me back a nasty message, saying his father died and I'm an *******. I'm thinking WTF did I do wrong here? He bought it, he decided not to pay, is it his father or father-in-law that he is using as an excuse and how do I know he is telling the truth and it wasn't the fact that his wife found out he bought a bike without her knowledge? I give him a professional negative feedback and he tears me a new one in my feedback. Ebay allowed me to re-list without charging me. That was my only problem w/ebay. I am still using it.

what everyone needs to remember is that Ebay is simply a medium for me and you and joe blow to buy and sell our ****...They have nothing to do with the transaction, nor are they responsible for collecting funds on your behalf...etc...etc...
It's the idiots that use Ebay and have no respect for the rest of us in teh marketplace...

I always list "immediate payment required"... that way people may take a day, but usually pay pretty quick if they are going to...
However we have had our fair share of no payers recently.... but you still gotta love ebay...
