I didn't even take it out of the shrinkwrap yet and I can see a 4" long one all the way though the plastic. I sent an email and let him know that I was very unhappy and am giving him a chance to make it right. If he doesn't, I'll be disputing it with paypal.

Beware

I've heard this kind of story (about body parts) enough times that I've decided that Ebay is not a good place to get them.

His feedback looked good. Only regret is that PayPal took it out of bank account instead of CC. He isn't responding to any emails.

Maybe I'll make a fake ebay name and see if he answers questions about other items.

Yeah, that's true. I guess that he wanted money order should have thrown up a flag as well.

I was cleaning the garage and also noticed that the name on the return label is different than the name on the paypal account and different than the name he used in his emails.

It does look like this is covered by paypal assuming that he hasn't cleaned out his account. And if he did, I think the Ebay guarantee will cover all but $25...I hope.

Re: Burnt buying plastic off Ebay

If he really wanted to help you out he'd give you some money back what a dick! Just because he got ripped it's fair to rip off others, sounds like the logic of a 3 year old and I should know that's how old my daughter is. Oh but she has better manners.

I don't think he is and I hope that no one on here is foolish enough to buy parts from him.

Feedback left

I didn't want to do it, but he left me no choice. I would have paid the shipping to return it in exchange for a refund.

How can I send them a copy of the email where he says basically "screw you"?

you still have it in you email inbox right? just forward it to paypal. if you've already deleted it, then it might still be in your inbox at ebay.

Re: Burnt buying plastic off Ebay

Go to the bottom of the paypal page where all the links are. Click on the about us link, there's a box on the left click on contact us. Click on customer support Inqueries, from there they have a help by email or help by phone. Hopefully someone can help through that, good luck fighting the good fight!

Don't use the instant help, it just looks for FAQ's.
