Yeah that's awesome, I was really happy for him. But as much as I really wanted Ben to win, you HAVE TO feel for Haga. He really does deserve one...maybe next year. I've said it before but I'd kinda like to see Ben stay in WSB and run **** for a few years.

 

I can't wait for Valencia. I wonder what Ben's yamaha will look like? Supposedly Jordan may be sponsoring it.

 

Congratulations to Ben. Heartbreak for Haga...hopefully next year will be his.

It's going to be quite interesting to see how Ben does on the "little" bikes against Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo and The Chimp.

 

I like Haga, but Spies made it pretty clear all season that he was the best in the field.
Haga got cheated out of a title in 2000. I still see him as the champion for that year.

 

An AMAZING season for Ben Spies, especially considering the amount of adversity He had to overcome to win the championship.

Pole positions, lap records, amazing consistency, and just never giving up.

Congrats Ben, you are the Superbike World Champion!!!!...friggin rookie!

 

Too bad for Haga Ferrari wasn't running his team, he'd be the champ

 

Ben is incredible. What a hell of a season from a rookie. Looking forward to Valencia and beyond. Maybe Ben will be able to catch Stoner and bring Colin along with him.

 

Great display that shows he was the best of the superbike riders out there. Can't wait to see how he stacks up against the motogp riders, given that he will have the bike potential.
The only hinderance possible will be his lack of history in setting up a full-on racebike with all it's electronic trickery and suspension adjustability. (Particularly bearing in mind the lack of allowed testing and practice time)

 

Yep, I felt for Haga too....Benny boy in Moto GP will be a hoot - the lad has talent and ***** - I like him....

 

yeah I was rooting for ben this year but I was sorry to see haga have to get edged out yet again. but unless something changes, I'd say he's a shoe-in for 2010 WSB champ.hang in there Nori. you'll get your day.
