Rossi and Hayden

I was just cruising the Phillips Island website and saw the most recent lap times . Friggin close there !

Unofficial times
1. Valentino Rossi (Gauloises Yamaha Team) - 1’29.68
2. Nicky Hayden (Honda) - 1’29.69

Thing is , Rossi runs so hard at the end of races . He just don't let up .

He's like a football team running up the score , nevertheless ....

Should be an interesting season .

BTW , a Renard holds the track record at 1:24 something

Re: Rossi and Hayden

Having personally met Hayden, he will continue to be my favorite. Rossi is the Dale Earnhart of MotoGP, love him because of his cutthroat attitude, or hate him for it. In Jerez when Rossi ran Gibbernau off the track on the last lap, I was SOOO pissed. Rossi is such a technical rider, and so flawless in his execution, there's no possible way he merely "ran wide" like he tried to say he did. Hayden has proven he can hang with the leaders, and post decent qualifying times. I just hope he can master the learning curve and manage to win a race. The first race win is the jumpstart he needs.
