Qatar WSBK results...
I agree. Everyone thought that this was Haga's year to win it with Bayliss out of the picture. Then out of nowhere this rookie is kicking everyone's ***. I predict Biachii will crash Spies out of a race well before this season is over. He did it to Haga two years ago effectively costing him the championship, and has already run Ben off the track in Phillip Island race 1. Yeah, Ben would have won that race too, judging by his race-end lap times.
I am amazed at bens ability to adapt to SBK. It is very different than what he went through in AMA. More bar banging, etc. His style is more like Biaggi. smooth and precise. So different than bayliss out of shape everywhere style. He was methodical in just bidding his time & letting the race come to him like Rossi does. Haga still tries to win it all at once......oh yeah, best series since colin edwards stomped the VTR around.
I am VERY happy and very surprised, Ben is really dominating. In Race one at Phillip Island the commentators said “welcome to World Superbike” when Ben was forced off the track; now they are sing a different song. Any completive racer hates to loose some just show it more, recall the Roberts / Spencer podium shots or a beaming Wayne Rainy and a downcast Kevin S and Mick D (both looking like they were just told to get their affairs in order as the only had a week to live),

I saw that the first AMA race, if not the entire series, is being called the "Suzuki Superbike Challenge". So how is that different from last year?
I thought that was what I was watching the last 3 years.

It was awesome to see Ben at Laguna Seca motoGP last year racing as a wild card. He came in 8th I think. Not bad! Now if we can just get Laguna Seca to dump AMA from the MotoGP weekend and add WSBK we would be set! Hell I wish it was at least like the old days at Laguna with 125, 250s and Side cars for GP.

Ben did really well in his first (regular) WSBK. Well done.
BUT...BUT but.
Biaggi did really well in his first WSBK too.
I wouldn't read too much into one weekend
Well done I say, we'll see how he goes longer term.
Anyone who can run top ten in that crowd is worthy:

Agreed it is still early, but he is clearly kicking all of their asses. Hopefully He will keep it up! Everyone else will step it up that is for sure. That Aprillia is pretty well sorted already, and we all know how good the Ducati is. By far the best m/c racing series this year.
