Laconia. Back on the track

So I was blessed to be able to go up to New Hampshire for Laconia bike week.

Last time I was on the track I was going really fast (for me) and had a big high side crash. It was about a year ago.

I was racing, lost the rear twice and on the 3rd time I woke up in the hospital with my wife and the doctor in front of me.

Broke 8 ribs and my scapula so had to recover a bit.

I reassembled the bike but mentally it was a challenge to go out and slide some knees.

Fortunately its just like riding a bike and I did the full day. The cool thing is that they have all the manufacturers there and you can test ride any bike you want from the major mfctrs.

Got to drive a slingshot. It is great fun. Like a mini super car.

Congrats brother, that's awesome. I remember after getting in a terrible accident years ago on my first Superhawk when some moron lost control of his car on the highway and ripped my brand new Superhawk in half. Remember longing for the day I could get back on a bike again. Pretty amazing feeling when I finally did again after learning how to walk and run again.

Good for you Joe, the track is such an addiction, the speed, community, and that feeling of accomplishment after cutting a an ultra-clean lap.... I hope you have a long run at it this time with no complications for many a moon. Stay in the zone!
