1000cc enigines for motoGP in 2012

FIM just announced a 1000cc 4cyl limit for engines for 2012 season...

Too bad for Honda's 5 cyl config. I wonder if this will mean renewed interest in the motoCzysz C1 990 bike?

Didn't they have a 1000cc formula a few years ago that produced the closest racing of any series? Has the FIM finally gotten a clue? I sincerely doubt it. They'll screw it up again in a couple of years.

Perhaps we will finally see a 1000cc V4 from Honda.

Shouldn't be too far of a stretch since the VFR now has a 1200cc V4.

I think it would be cool to dust off the NR750 motor. Bump it up to 1000cc. V8 hiding in a 4.

Would love to see that but not sure it that would fly given the 81mm max bore limit. Unless Honda can convince Dorna that only the round parts of the cylinder should be measured??
