Re: New Ultra-Hawk???
Guys, you got it wrong. That's got nothing to do with Hawk at all.
That's Honda NTV Deauville 680cc detuned engine with CVT (variator) transmission in fact cross between scooter and bike.
Honda clearly did not planned anything big this year, and 1000cc race reps "rat race" just spoils development of anything else....
I doubt they will do new Hawk, but they can eventually do 1200 cc V-four, and that'll be time to sell my Hawk.
BTW - Suzuki shown one concept bike I really dream of now.
It's Suzuki Stratosphere - it is not mock-up, it is real working concept that rides and works - just like B-king. It's inline-6 with roots in Katana (remember that one?)
Old one:
And here is concept

OK, I'll take my beating now... I actually like the looks of the DN. Seen the Gurney Gator that sells for $35,000? The Honda looks like a much better done version. I could imagine getting the DN for the wife, as she likes to ride scooters but doesn't like the instability of small wheels.
Anyway, if you think the DN is ugly, you must not have scrolled down to the Yamaha Maxam 3000, with a rear overhang longer than a motor home!

They have one of those Gurney things at the Barbar motorsports museum. Its really interesting design wise, obviously its not my personal cup of tea but I can respect its functionality..... You could be comfortable on it with your depends adult briefs on...

This is what it might look like??
2007 VTR1200F
If there is one bike that has been neglected for years in Hondas line up it is the VTR1000F Firestorm. Honda has been reluctant to develop its V-twin engine in the past but now they have to due to Euro 3. We know that a new XL1000V (or 1200…) Varadero is coming this autumn with a more powerful version of the VTR1000F engine. Perhaps with so many changes that it in effect is a new engine. At the same it is expected that the Firestorm will get its first major update and fresh design since 1996! Firestorm was launched as the first Japanese sports twin to rival the now iconic Ducati 916. We do not know whether Honda has opted for a large bore engine yet, but strategically it would have made sense if the new Firestorm became a 1200 to make it stand more out in a range that might contain two in-line four half faired 1000s next year (CBF1000 and CB1000F Hornet). Our artists impression shows a very sporty Firestorm with parts taken from the firms CBR1000RR Fireblade. With a new grunty 1200cc V-twin the bike needs a new chassis that will have been developed only for this bike.
2007 Hornet
Maybe an ugly mention, IMO, I think it's going to be a great bike:
Kawasaki has had a dual sport on offer for many years. KLR 600, KLR 650, KLE 500, KLV 650 and so on. Versys is more of a "Multistrada" than offroad and the new model is looking to cater for a new group of riders that wants something that looks and rides a little bit like a supermoto for the fun part and comfortable as a sports tourer for the commuting. Versys features the 650cc parallel twin from last years ER6 models, but with a few chassis changes. The new aluminium banana swing arm is one of the more striking features. Due to the special mounting of the rear shock we suspect the new swing arm might have been necessary to increase the rear ride height to suit the new long-stroke front suspension. Front fork is now USD and all brake discs the wavy type. The engine has been set up to respond effortlessly from all rpms. ABS is optional and the new windscreen is adjustable. Available in black, silver and orange. Versys stands for Versatile systems.
