OK... great. I figure if the price was low enough, you guys would over look the extra features, and honestly... sometimes simple is better.

Today I need to make some Vapor mounts for a DRZ, and while they are running, I'll work on Fixtures, and CAM program, and as long as I have some aluminum in the shop... I'll try to get a prototype done tomorrow or the next day. (wed/thurs)

Hey... just for giggles. If anyone has a large set of calipers... can you get the measurement between the fork legs. I just want to double check before I cut.

I understand the reason for not making it a two piece clamp for strength, but I am not a fan of the wings on the outer edges for astetics. Would it be possible to move the clamp wing to the rear or off to the rear corner and still maintain the strength of your design? Food for thought. Either way I'm still gonna get one.

Yes I could, but it could add $20 to the price. The reason for that is, I would have to stand it up on end, to drill, tap, and cut the slot. That would require a tall fixture, that would have to be much heavier to hold the part stiff as the machine was running. (more expensive to make the fixture) and then I would have to add the extra process since both holes could not be cut at the same time. (since they would be on opposite ends of the part) And since I would have to flip the part... the screw will be on the opposite side of the brace... so that would require an extra (short) program. And finally, I would have to move up to the next width of aluminum bar... in turn, making more waste, and longer run times on the first program that cuts the profile.

I know at face value, moving the bolt from the sides to the front or the back seems trivial, but at the manufacturing stage, it can have a big impact on the final price.

Now... if for some reason it was going to cause mechanical problems... I would move it without question. (but the price would still go up)

As I said before... I can do anything you guys want... but it may reflect on the price.

WELLLLLLLLLL.................

Since I haven't made the prototype yet... I do have one thought on that. Let me draw up a new model, and I will post it later today.

In my head... it may work, but I will have to do some stress testing on it.

At $75-100 as the design stands now is fair. But If it looks better and still has the same strength for $20 more, I would spend the extra cash. Lets see what you come up with. I do like the astetics of the other manufactures but would prefer to have something that has function over form and would be made by someone who wants to provide a service for our beloved SuperHawks. I will buy one from you either way. Thank you for your time.

Hi guys,

OK... I know... it's the same old story on the delay. I got hung up last week, and this week, I'm out of velocity stacks, so I have to make more today. I will post up 2.0v as soon as I can. I may try to work on it tonight... and home.

Being a newb here I've learned quickly the penalties of NOT using the "Search" feature, so after reading many posts about this, I would also be interested in one of these.

I hope we get some movement on this as I would like to redo my forks and put this on all at the same time.

Price is right, even if you put the screws on the backside of the forks for extra. I'm interested in one!

Who would like to see a Dr Honda fork brace?

I assume at this point it was a rhetorical, and or hypothetical question.

I talked with Dr Honda about 2 weeks ago.

He still has plans to do these and the rearset adapters.

I don't know how many of you remember, he mentioned having to help his sister company, well, due to circumstances, he has had to absorb the other company and meet their shipping requirements.

He said he has not forgotten about us, and will get to these.

Thanks!

Not trying to throw a fly in the ointment, and you probably are familiar with this design, but in case you're not, see what you think.

I have one of these (RSW fork brace) on my dual sport and it allows space for fork guards. Hit link below and scroll down for pic.

I mounted a little white mudflap on the top side and fork guards above it on each side. The fork guards are held on with hose clamps. This is possible with the design pictured in the above cited link for RSW.
