Thumb fuel screw query

Can someone (smarter than me) point me to the post on replacing and adjusting the thumb fuel screws?

Been searching but cant find commentary on it.

Adjusting the fuel screws is a part of the FULL process of syncing your carbs prior to actually syncing the linkage. If your carb settings are spot on or very good just match the turns out to what you have already, then follow the manual for fine tuning the screws and syncing the carbs.

Smoke, I think what you may be looking for is in the owners manual. If you go to section 5-18, you will find a clear explanation of how to proceed to adjust your carbs.
I honestly have failed to go through these steps since I'm too lazy to take the time, but, I think it's probably the smartest way to do it.

Hmm. I will do that but the confusing part is that the fuel screws are not adjustable from the factory so why would Honda tell you how to adjust them?

Am I missing something? The carbs are synced so I was figuring someone had the screw turns figured out. Am I wrong about the screws from the factory? I had to slot mine with a dremmel to turn them. (or do they want you to use that dumb D shaped tool?)
