Thinkin' of some carbon fiber work?

Anyone tried to make carbon fiber covers for this ugly spot? Or has it been in production already, if not this week I will attempt it!

An interesting idea but wouldn't the other side restrict airflow to the R/R?

What's with the wires hanging down? Is the start solenoid mounted correctly? Mine is all behind the tail plastic and you only see the battery box.

+1 The wires should be mounted under the tail section and hence, no ugly spot.

It doesn't look like a standard rear fairing (or the subframe as been modded).... as your seeing part of the subframe you shouldn't see exposed (the welded flat part just under the fairing.) That's probably part of the problem.

Have no idea of the tail section or subframe the bike was bought in this cond. thus the needed part to make it look better, and yes the wiring has been gone thru but not by me, the prev. owner did a **** job and im trying to work on these faults to improve the bike!

Download the workshop manual off this forum. It has a section that shows how the hoses and cables are supposed to be routed.

Take a couple more pics for us. I would like to see what is under the seat, and also what wiring is behind your rear fairing section on that side.

Looks like a standard sub frame to me from your pic, so maybe just the wiring has been modified for some reason.
