Long time reader first time poster lol
I'll just start out by saying love the forum very informative.
I know this topic has been covered over the years but I'm dead keen on giving this mod a crack. There are just a few questions that I'd like answered by whoever can help me out.
Which coil on cap conversion are the best to use ie cbr1000 or 929 954 or 600? What year model in these and are there any impedance issues to deal with. Please correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't a later model with as little miles as possible would be less inclined to suffer the effects of age and wear?
And more specifically i have found a set of 06-07 cbr1000 stick coils cheaper than any 03 600 jobbies (which seems to be the norm pick for the mod)
Will the k6 cbr1000 have any clearance issues diameter and height wise. I know that i will need to utilize the oem weather shield and have read in a post ages ago but the mod used 00-01 cbr1000 sticks
As i said guys any help with this matter will be gratefully appreciated

"Best" is hard to say having not tried every combination possible

Think you will just have to look at the different ways it's been done . Ask questions you might have and decide what will work for you

 

Will the ones that I've mentioned (06-07 cbr1000) fit down the journal provided

 

Ok so understand I've not tried these, so making an educated guess . Looking at pics of the 2006-2006 coils for a CBR1000, yes I think they will work... but till someone actually tries them, or can give me a manufactures part number (not the motorcycle manufacture, the coil) Im just not going to be positive in thier use for the SH
