Sag

So in this thread Roger Ditchfield suggests the front forks be set to 28mm sag, and the rear shock be set to 8mm sag.

In this post Greg (Hawk Rider) recommends setting the rear shock to 25mm sag.

Does anyone have any opinions as to who is right and WHY?

Perhaps there is some confusion between free (unloaded) sag and sag with the rider on board. This is from the RaceTech suspension bible:

In general you want your sag (with rider) to be about 1/3 of the total travel.

Oh so i made a mistake then, i thought Carl and Roger were saying 8mm of sag with rider onboard, not free sag (bike only).

My apologies, thanks for setting me straight!
