Reinstalling Stock Pipes

I am looking to buy a '98 Superhawk that has been jetted and fitted with Vance and Hines aftermaket pipes. This bike is a bit loud. If I buy it, I would like to put on much quieter pipes, most likely stock. So now for the question. Will I run into problems if I simply reinstall the stock pipes and leave the jetting as is?

You probably will have to jet it back to (or near) stock if you go with the stock exhaust otherwise it probably will be running rich. Try it and see, once you get it changed back put some miles on it and check the plug color

Just depends how rich it was jetted. V&H marketed two versions of the S4 cans for the VTR. If you have the "street baffle" version, the jetting might be close enough to stock. If you have the titanium cans with the straight through baffles, the bike has probably been jetted too rich for the stock mufflers.
