Okay, this thread will now attempt to lose it worthlessness.
the 4th pic shows the smaller pipe inside the outlet that, I guess, is there to control the volume. it's a solid pipe that extends about 1/3 the length of the canister. these are about the same volume as the stock cans with four 3/8" holes drilled in them but much nicer sounding. took a short ride today and they sound GOOD with no popping on decel and the power seems fine, have to ride more to see if I have to re-jet.

looks great bird!! now just get rid of that ugly rear fender and those even uglier turn signals and front and rear reflectors and you've got something there

I think they look great. Nice bike too. Putting pipes on is an important occasion for all superhawk owners! They make the bike.

Ya know, I tried to find some $300 titanium Erions...they were all being used by CBR riders.
I do prefer round mufflers but...
I've been hoping to hear some 'Hawks with pipes but I've only ever ran across four other bikes. One with bafflectomy, too loud and still sounded like the stock pipes: kinda 'ting, ting, rattle'. One with TBR, nice, quiet, expensive. One w/D&Ds: nice sound, WAY loud. One with Hindle race baffles, nice sound, really loud.
...and then this nice fellow on the Superhawk Forum made me an offer...
thanks again, Andy.

Thanks for finally letting me see what a yoshi pcan looks like from the rear! I apparently have the same exact set of cans only mine are polished and dont have the outside yosi plate riveted in there. I had thought maybe they had fallen off (the bike I bought wasnt really taken care of that well) but it looks like they just came that way I guess! Either way, bike looks good!

Bird,
Glad I could help out. I got my new Jardine rounds on Friday, mounted 'em, and I love the new sound also. Louder, but nicer/racier.
BTW, someone said something about signals, and the stockers being too big? I disagree...anything to be seen is a good thing. Alas, the Jardines don't allow my stockers to be retained...so I ordered a Clear Alternatives taillight w/ integrated light. Anyone interested in a homemade aluminum relocation kit? It bolts under the fender to move signals up; came with the bike...$30 shipped?

Sorry, I meant the CA taillight w/ integrated signals. I can send pics of the homemade relocators if anyone wants them (still haven't figured out how to add them on-site yet).

PM me?

Question Pipes

Am a former Chicken Hawk and RC51 guy looking to get back into it again.

I STILL dream about the noise that the D&D slip-ons spat out on my '98 996. NOTHING beat that sound!! Upgraded to an RC51 with Carbon Jardines in 2003. RC was great but not on longer rides and the sound wasn't like the D&D's.

I'm looking for an early 2000 SuperHawk but would like a D&D high mount set up. Seeing a few with high mount 2Bro's. They sound good on a fiends Duc M750. Anyone have thoughts??
