Well I didn't say just one word. I didn't realize what a difference it would make, with the frontend mod and new shock the bike feels completely different.

I have a freind that put a Bitubo shock on his VTR. I haven't heard how he likes it. Glad to hear it works so well!

Wow, I thought I was the only one that had one. Was it the race model? This is my first street aftermarket shock so I could be overstating things but man what an improvment over the stock shock.

Makes you realize just how harsh the stock shock is - huh?

Too bad they are SO expensive !

Glad you like it ! (or is it "Love" ?)

What did you have to give for it?

$325 and a promise to the wife, "no more VTR goodies for 6 months!" I don't know which hurt more.

Used price on Ebay, not the greatest price for used but it's in awesome shape. It looks brand new and seems to be well charged. The machine work on these shocks is very impressive, it's like a work of art.

Lying to your wife huh?

Congrats on the pickup. I've been looking for a shock too. That Showa one on eBay right now is mighty tempting...but I'm saving my pennies for an Ohlins. Or Elka, if they ever get around to building one.

Lying...who...what....why would you say I'm lying....Loco don't tell any one I'm buying your exhaust header. I saw that showa shock could be a good one for a lot less than an ohlins...those things is expeeeensive! Good luck on your search it really does un-lock a lot of hidden potential.

Question Where To Buy???????

I know this is an old post, but does anyone know where to buy Bitubo shocks?

I found this website listing a 97-02 VTR Firestrom:
http://www.motorcycle-parts.com.au/3...ard_Shocks.pdf

BH0083 XZE01 no tank, no compression/length adj

And I also contacted an eBay seller who has been selling then recently.

Any info appreciated.

Conveniently the importers of Bitubo are here in San Francisco
http://www.maxmoto.com/
Call them direct, and they can connect you to a local dealer.
