I have run an Ironman on a DRZ485 dirt bike for 6 or 7 years,, and now have a Stealth on that one as well.. Have had a Stealth on my wife's bike for 3 years, still wearing great.

SUPERSPROX USA

Been riding mine since I got home......love the -1+2, and new RK x ring chain, Renthal front sprocket and Stealth rear are doing great.
I am 0+1 with a Supersprox and it works for me. A little more goose coming up and not too high an RPM on the highway. No issues on the sprocket, rivets holding just fine.

You aren't putting larger heavier pistons in, and your piston speed isn't increasing at all if you don't stroke it. Coming on boost isn't violent (from the engine's point of view at least) the way that spraying it is. You could probably make 150hp out of a VTR on 8-10lbs of boost, and as long as you aren't flogging it all the way up SR509 at full throttle, have it live quite happily for a long time. The 120hp number for the rods seems awfully arbitrary to me, and is probably derived from race teams building high comp/stroked/bored engines. Since stock bandit 1200 rods are good to ~300hp, I would be shocked if you couldn't coax a VTR rod to 150hp under boost.

Though now we've totally derailed this thread.

I went back and looked at my e-mail from Bill Finnegan at HPower and he said "Rods are good to about 130Hp but after this they are prone to breakage if revved hard and the rev limiter is used a lot." He also talked about the crank breaking if you rev it a lot especially off the rev limiter. So I think he is talking more race guys who would be doing that on a regular basis. Not sure. I definitly know the difference between a nitrous shock and the turbo coming on. My turbo diesel is pushing about 40psi of boost and makes about 450hp on fuel only. Then I have nearly a 400hp shot of nitrous (and I'm not talking about it rated at a 400 shot but actually made nearly 400hp on the dyno more) on a single stage instant on. Snapped a forward drum in the tranny from the hit! LOL!

Yeah sorry to the OP for derailing the thread.
