Need help: CBR 929RR complete front end

I found a complete '01 929 front end (minus calipers) for $350. I'm hoping someone can chime in and help me figure out how feasible this swap is...I know there used to be a white paper on here about front end swaps but I can't seem to find it. Couldn't find any thorough details about this specific swap using the search function

Just looking for a mostly bolt-on swap (I'd be fine doing a few modifications) so if anybody has any experience/advice with this it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

lazn has quite a few good pics of the swap- I haven't done it but seems like a fairly simple swap with very minor changes.

(I don't know how to post direct links, but this'll get you there)

very easy, and that's a decent price depending on what your/their definition of complete is.

Are those forks on lazn's bike from a 954? Is that similar, installation-wise, to using 929 forks?

929 and 954 front ends are identical except for minor differences in the fork hardware, brakes and wheels. The swaps are very similar. Both are basically bolt-on swaps, with the most difficult part being handlebar solutions.

spring rates are different between 954 and 929. easiest way to tell the difference is the lower leg, the 954 have anodizing around the adjuster where the 929 does not.
