Problem with busses is they make 35 stops along the way. A trip that long would have taken over a week probably.

havoc, where are you man? Not hold up in some strip club, I hope. There are worse places to be stuck in, but it can get expensive and alcohol is usually involved. Not good for an endurance ride.

Stay alert and pull over for a rest if you start to fade. Ride home safe.

I've ridden from northern California to south east Texas in less than two days on a Greyhound, that's over 2k miles one way. Yeah, they do make stops, but those damn busses can go like 500 miles on a tank.

See, 1 day 3 hours

I'd rather hitch hike when it's ten below zero and snowing than go Greyhound.
Let me give you some advice. Get drunker n hell on the bus and all through out the trip and it's actually pretty amusing. You can sneak a bottle on and mix it in some coke bottles, or mix it before hand, or you can get some of those little shooter bottles.

That's way better than getting in over your head trying to ride 2k miles in two days. F-that. I'd rather just rent an econo-box for $12 a day.

Bus rides are the most grueling, inhumane, disgusting way to travel left in America -- so they're great in their own way. You'll never really know who lives in this country unless you're on a Greyhound for more than 15 hours.

I had it both ways once: I took a Greyhound from Asheville, NC, to Madison, WI, to get a VFR700. I rode the bike back, stopped at my brother's near Chicago, then the Reg died in the middle of corn country at 3 a.m. I hitched into a town -- another fun way to travel, especially in the a.m. in rural America -- then took a bus back home.

It's much better to be on a bike, but buses are most excellent. After he's done with this ride, he'll probably park the SH for a while, though.

Take your time Havoc, get a good cup of coffee, check out the toothless waitress at the truck stop. Don't speed!

So I think I was very wrong about whole 300 miles left thing I'm still in SC I think haha I'm not even sure at this point. I dnt know if I'm just tired or delirouse. But I cld go for a big *** steak right now lmao beef jerky an rockstar arnt cutting it an more. But I do have some yummy delicouse cookies someone made me. The funny part is this thread is turning into more of a journal of a now delriuos newby who got in over his head an is laying on a sidewalk typing on his phone infront of a gas station at the moment. O an I swear to crist I never wanna see a gas station again this is like my 16th or 17th+ one in goin on 3days. After I finish this trip an go into a commo for about a week I'm go back threw an re read the whole thing lol

Um, you could stop for the day. Get a room, kick back with a few beers, watch TV... Nothing better after a long ride than a burger and a few beers.

You've caused our concern for your welfare to overcome our concern about your spelling and grammar. That's a huge achievement. I admire your determination, your tolerance for pain and your capacity to accept an unreasonable level of risk. Check your oil and get home safely!

So that would mean your INDICATED speed was about 98-105?

Take it easy, you're almost there.....

Sleep, tiny noob...

Glad you made it OK... To bad about the tickets, the rest of the trip sounds like a normal "fun" roadtrip... You hurt all over, you are tired, and you just wanna get there... that about sums it up?

Report back tomorrow when the thoughts are coherent. If you have any Ibuprofen take a bunch with some milk as soon as you wake up.

Lol honestly it was fun an if I were asked to go right back out, right now I'd say give an hour an let's do it. An I tried my hardest the seconed cop rides so he hooked me up a bit he gave me a payment extencion an took a mph off wich dosnt sound like much but it put the whole ticket an lower fine bracket. Wether he believed me or was just tryn to b nice for my frantic explaining while I'm half burnt outa my skull I'll never know

Glad to hear you're back. A strong heart, a purpose, and a strong beast to deliver you is the winning combination. Some of the best to put that equation together are here.

You might be able to mitigate these tickets if this was a family emergency. They know you could just say FO because you're out of state and they can do nothing. This could cut your tickets by up to 80%.

Scrub yourself, scrub the bike, have a nice day at work tomorrow.
