Just installed SS brake lines & EBC HH pads - WOW !

I just installed Galfer SS brake lines & EBC HH pads front and rear and all I can say is WOW ! - what a difference !!!

The front brakes are wonderful ! No more squishy brake lever feel !

I need to bleed the rear again :-(
Still have some air in the rear cause it takes 3 pumps to get a hard pedal.
It was late last night by the time I finished the rear & I thought I had it done.
The ride to work today proved the rear still needs work.
I'll hit it again after work tonight.

This mod is definately worth the money !

The Galfer lines did not fit perfectly & required a little modification on both master cylinders stop boss to fit correctly without putting the line in a bind.
Still definately worth the time spent!
Falls in the catagory of "must do mods"

Park the bike on the side stand and turn the forks full left. Now, pull the brake lever and tie off (I use a rubber clamp wrench or a zip tie) for the night. In the morning, you'll have a hard lever.

Clamping it down leaves the m/c open and air bubbles will have a unrestricted path to the reservoir. There may still be some left in the calipers and a final bleed will rid you of those.

I consider this a periodic maintainence proceedure.

Hmmm....will this work for the rear too?

Just have to figure out how to keep the brake pedal depressed overnight

Well, the height difference isn't near as great but it should. I've never done it as I've never wanted a strong(er) rear brake.

I've held the rear brake pedal down overnight on my R1 by wedging the right length socket between the pedal and the engine side cover.
