How to Fit VTR Reservoir to CBR954 Front M/C

Can anyone help with how best to connect the VTR fluid reservoir to the 954RR M/C inlet using the small rubber distance piece. The M/C inlet is in a different position to the one on the VTR and the VTR fluid reservoir mounts in a different position to the CBR954.

Maybe someone who has done it on their bike.

BTW I have rebuilt and am fitting a set of 954 brake calipers and OEM pads. I have also had a stainless steel sleeve inserted in the 954 M/C with a new cylinder kit fitted as well. My bike already has S/S lines on it.

Why not use the 954 reservoir?

Why did you choose to remove the teflon liners in the 954 calipers? I've read that iw what makes them so smooth...

You could always get a universal aftermarket one. They cost very little and look decent. For $25, you could get two and clean up the look on your bike.

I don't have a 954 reservoir. With it mounting in a different position it could obscure part of the instrument panel.

I did not replace the liners in the calipers.

Crux, have you upgraded the brakes on your bike?

That company does not ship to Oz. I will look for another though, thanks for the heads up. I'm amazed they're made so cheaply. Must be made in China I guess.

Thanks

The link I gave you was just an example. There are many others to choose from. Just go on eBay and search for one that suits your fancy.

Thanks Crux,

This is the one I have decided to go with as it matches the color of my bike and with plenty of adjustment as well.
