I found a clutch cover from a 98 I have a 02 will the year gap have any difference in construction internal that may interfere with the clutch or anything in general?

And a late model R1 for $25~35 plus OEM plugs from Eastern beaver ($18) and you have better then OEM set up that looks OEM.

the r/r is called the rectifier, its for the charging system, the old stock one is known to fail.
the newer ones from honda is finned but it looks small to me.
there is a write up on here for the r/r swap, you should see if you have the old one or the finned one.if you have the newer honda finned one,you should be good.
it will bo located on that same spot, but smaller, thats the R6 r/r

I believe 02 & later added a rubber spigot & hose from the water pump drain hole so coolant that seeped past the impeller seals did not drip down the cover & alarm people; otherwise besides finish type & color, the right side covers are interchangeable. How did this thread diverge to VR/R?
