Exhaust Ideas

Hello, Im new to the site. have had my 05' vtr for a while now and its time for a new exhaust, but there are so many types to choose from. i would like a set of slip ons that have a good sound but are somewhat quiet at low range. Budgets around 600. Any ideas?

Welcome to the site! You can check ebay for some cheap options. I had some Remus slip ons on my old VTR and loved them. They sounded great. Have a full M4 system on this one. I really like the look of the carbon fiber Two Brothers systems. I think Jardine makes a decent pipe as well. There is a fair amount of slip-ons available, I think your limiting factor is going to be your budget. I think there are some higher and some lower than what you're looking to spend.

I've seen a few people modify the stock cans with a hole saw. Actually looks real good. Sounds just about right. If you spray the inside of the can matt black it looks stock.

Jardine's are somewhat tame in the DB department. D&D have a rep for being on the loud end. Stay away from the chinese DanMoto if you want to keep quiet. A friend has a set and they are as loud as my cut down D&D.

I have a set of Leo Vince low mount with the removable quiet inserts, I find it the perfect compromise regarding sound with the inserts in. However, I opted to call Leo Vince and ordered a set of conical outlets vs. the spigot tips it came with. The spigot tips made a chirping sound on decel with the insert in, and for some reason the conical ones I ordered, ($60.00 extra) did not make that sound. I had to order new inserts for the conical tips as they are not the same size as the ones that come with the silencers (Used 10 bucks). They look great with the conical outlets, IMO. That said, I found the silencers new for under 500 bones so it was worth it to me. YMMV
Best of luck!
