Ok....I went the cheap route and got a daytona steering dampner...less than $200....First let me start by advising anyone with extra cash to get a top mounted one instead..Hyperpro ect... Since i have added the 45mm 900rr forks and dont have the front end height set to stock it was a pain in the butt! I was able to install it without removing the upper, i just took out two of the fairing bolts. I had to try several different angles and heights to finally get it to clear compleletly left to right. its on there now and the only other bad part is that once i get my penske shock installed i will be playing with ride height and may have to adjust it again...ahhhh moral of the story ...dont be cheap

well the issue i had was it was hitting the inner fairing plastic on the right and then after adjusting that it would hit the frame when turned to the left...

Well, damping for your steering. Ever had a tank-slapper? Sometimes they could result from setting a wheelie down wrong, or hitting a bunch of bumbs, especially in a turn. There is a great video of on on the net somewhere, where this guy ended up off the back of the bike with his feet on the ground while the bike did its thing, and he managed to get back on. There are also videos of some wicked crashes resulting from a tank-slapper.

it helps with tankslappers (preventing them) it also makes the front end feel so much more stable
