Compression adjusters in stock VTR forks?
has anyone ever tried to put compression adjusters into stock VTR fork lowers?
seems like i have heard of people welding in and machining bungs into other forks for this purpose.

No, never heard of it. Would actually seem easier to graft on a front end from another bike, ie 929/954/1000RR. More benefit that way. Or you could just have your stock forks revalved the way you want them.
