Re: BMC or K&N??
It's strange that people have had no power gains with the K&N, I just dyno'd mine with a new stock Honda filter, and then agian with the K&N. It gained 10HP and 3Lb Ft torque at the wheel! The mechanic running the dyno couldn't believe it.

My guess is you've rejetted and are running about 180 and 185 jets (maybe bigger). Too rich for the stock filter.
Did I guess correctly?
I have different cams, more compression and a full exhaust system. It runs perfect with 170 and 175 jets (Dynojet) and stock air filter at sea level. Needles on the fourth notch. #45 pilot jets.
