Acumen gear indicator

Not sure if this is a technical or cosmetic mod. I usually wear earplugs and occasionally its not obvious what gear I'm in if I'm concentrating on some other aspect of riding. Anyone with any experience with the Acumen gear indicator? I had always considered an indicator unnecessary but there are times it might be nice to have. If you have experience was it a simple plug/play instal?

supertwinSH is an unknown quantity at this point
I am very interested in that little jewel, but never saw or heard of anyone with one. Would also like to hear more about someone's experience with it.

it just measures speed and rpm and matches what gear you 'should' be in

its not accurate 100% of the time

ive never owned one, but ive ridden a bike with one. i dont think id buy one...but i dont have any problems knowing what gear Im in

Ditto....I can usually tell, but sometimes I find myself downshifting in traffic, then have to accelerate back and I'll forget if I'm in 4th or 5th, etc. I can tell the first few gears apart because they're so spread out, but when they get tight and I have to do the up-down-up-down thing.....I'll admit I lose count! If I'm at a good cruising rpm I don't mess with it, but if I'm at a bit higher speed and not sure if I'm in top, I just pull the clutch and gave her a kick. But I can usually tell 6th apart, because my trans whines like a **** in 6th gear, can hear it over the exhaust and all if you pay attention.

I think 4 and 5 are the gears I really get mixed up.

I usually can tell which gear I'm in at the lower end... but atleast that thing would stop me from trying to find 7'th gear... :-)

Dunno if it's worth that much money thoo...
