Did you measure it? seriously though was it like he said,(lengthened for a vtr), or did you just put it on anyway?

Yeah I measured them and the 900rr forks ended up being about a half inch longer. I still have some tweeking to do with how much to have above the top triple, if anyone has the measurement for stock from middle of axle to the top of the top triple i would appreciate it. i will try and get some pics....i only paid 150 for the whole thing and he just had the oil and seals changed

Hmm...I wonder if they were compensating for the different offset of the 900rr triples? I know I've posted the measurments on here before, I'll see if I can find them.

What year 900rr front end did you use? There are differences between the 93-97 front end and the 98-99 front end with the 98-99 being the better set to use.

Yeah I know the later is the better , but i think it was from a 95, there is only rebound and preload. My stock front end need new springs and seals and that would have run me about $150 which is what i paid for the 900rr front end. so i went with the beefier 45mm 900rr front end

yeah, I may eventually get a carbon fiber one because the one that came with the front end was a horrible pale red color, but i have to save up for a rear shock

so these 900rr forks HAD been extended or what? I think I'm gonna still go gixxer1000 or 929/954 front end for the inverted blang blang factor as well as being mega beefy

yes there were extended, and like i said $150 for forks, top and lower triple wasnt bad, considering my stock ones needed a rebuild (fluid, springs, seals)

Looks great Toadster.

Until you get a fender, you might check the electrical isle and see if they have red zip ties. I've never looked for them put I seem to recall seeing different color ones the last time I bought some black ones.

So if your running a VTR 17inch wheel AND the forks have been extened, might the front end be too tall now?

Well I have a little more fork coming thru the top triple than stock to compensate..I think I may have the front end a little too low with the stock rear shock because I rode it pretty hard yesterday and was running into ground clearance issues a little more than usual....I am trying to figure out what rear shock to get..biggest thing is having adjustable ride height

Yup once you update the front, it's becomes even more evident that the rear needs help. Good luck in your search.
