Well, after dragging every last inch out of my last 530 chain, I swapped to a 520 setup.

The last chain swap I did was in '09! (after consulting my service records). Thats an eternity for me on an all weather daily rider.

So it feels great, alot like a lightened flywheel but obviously less so. You can really feel the difference though.

Now I gotta swap on the steel braided clutch line & see if any of the vtr chatter goes away.

 

Like you, I'm waiting for my current setup to be done with so I may also convert to 520. The only downside I see from this conversion is we will probably not be able to last as long as with the 530 setup.


Doesn't really matter to me since I'm looking for better performance and lighter rolling mass.
