You're not trying hard enough! Y124P, pearl shining yellow.

Well that's if it's the factory yellow anyway. I'm not 100% but off the top of my head didn't '01's only come in red from the factory? (In the U.S.)

For what it's worth I had a local body shop do a scan and I'd say they matched up that yellow probably 95%. He sprayed both side cowls and the tail for less than the cost of the paint from colorrite. Just a thought considering what these bikes are becoming worth nowadays...

My 2001 VTR Canadian model is "Pearl Flash Yellow". The paint code is Y163. It's a lighter yellow than older models. The paint code should be on a sticker on the subframe of your VTR.

Good catch. Now I see his Ontario tag. That's why I said U.S. because I know there are a ton of other cool colors from Canada and Europe.

thanks for the info guys. much appreciated. we ran into a small snag with the tail and some paint was ruined, and now were debating trying to match it up and hoping my paint isnt too faded or maybe doing a fade on the tail that turns into black, start light right where the tail starts and then fade it into solid black by the end. something a little different.
