XM Radio

Im ridding to Idaho in 2 weeks and decided XM would be a good Idea... Orderd the xpressez radio off a site for $20. However every mount i see online mounts to handle bars ... not exactly going to work because I would like the ability to turn with my front fairing still attached. Any one made a more permanat mount to go by the cluster?

XM blows in tight canyons and near tall trees. And they are losing channels fast ( like Fungus 53) since the merger with Sirius. How many Rap and Country stations do you need? Go with and MP3 player instead and sell that XM rig while you can. I'm about to cancel my subscription soon.

I have xm in my truck (factory radio) and yes it does lose signal in the hills and in heavy wooded areas. I haven't noticed any of the stations go away that I usually tune into.

Ram Mounts have so many options, check them out.

I use them for GPS stuff; however i never ever intend on having anything other than the purr of the engine in my helmet. If i had to have an ipod or a radio while riding then i would have to quit riding.

To each his own

I got the dashboard swivel mount and just stuck it on the upper triple clamp. Works good for me and doesn't look to bad either.

Well i dont have an issue with programing. Im a GM mechanic and never lose reception on my test drives in my area.. and i only listen to 4 stations xl squiz, the all metallica channel, alternative rock, and the country station. So i dont plan on getting rid of it... Im sick of mp3 players and having to set of and download the music im gonna listen to.. just want to find a channel. And i had looked at the ram mount site before... didnt care for what i saw, guess im just gonna make my own

Try just placing in your tank bag. Also, they have been discontinued, but if you find one, and lapel antenna is nice. Can clip on your jacket, tankbag, windshield, etc.... I have a radio mount permanently on my Shadow, but on the hawk, it's IPOD all the way.
