I have a Zero Gravity screen. It's not a double bubble or a touring one. It's something in between both. It's tall like a touring screen but doesnt have a deflection lip. It deflects the wind great. I haven't seen anyone else's bike with one on it. I'm not a fan of the double look. Plus I have heard rumors that the double bubble will act like a magnifying glass and damage the gauge cluster lens.

Lockhart Phillips Zero Gravity Double-Bubble is by far the best screen for this bike. Looks sharp and reduces that annoying wind TONS. Best mod ever for this bike. I'd say it's REQUIRED. Honda admits people change out the windscreen anyway so "..why bother with a functional windscreen when they're going to replace it as soon as they buy their bike among other bits.."

It was pretty cheap, but I watched e-bay for a month or so.

I like the auctions that end at 3-5AM. Nobody wants to stay up for them.

I have the Puig, too! It does a good job of getting the wind up over you. The Interceptor runs the Zero Gravity DB and it does a good job too. I think the ZG lifts the air a little better but it's hard to tell because the bikes are so different.

You may want to check your bulb.

Im 6'4 so I went with the ZG Sport Touring,,,,,huge difference. I dont think it looks too bad considering there is so much of me above the handle bars the extra height on the screen isnt as noticeable.

Does the ZG Sport-Touring screen have a turned up lip on it? I saw ZG screens in the PartsUnlimited catalog that did. I didn't see any of the ZG screens like the one I have still being offered.

Here is a picture of mine.

Taller than stock, but not a double bubble or ST.

Anyone else have one like it?

Zero Gravity bought it new.

I've got a ZG double bubble on mine, I like the look of that one though.

Looks like the whole screen is the height of the higher bubble, it must give good wind protection.

Currently running 3/4s of a Zero Gravity double bubble. It used to be just tall enough to tuck behind and see over. Now that the left corner is gone it lets too much air in haha.

Puig or Powerbronze....I sourced locally in SA, these 2 products, both the same price, the question is which will work better with the SH.

Your thoughts?

I think Puig is better quality, fit, and looks. I've owned both.

I am currently running one and think it's decent. Being 6'3" it was difficult to tuck in behind the stock screen. It does pick up some pretty good vibration's at high speeds and can kinda distort your vision. All in all it's good for what it is.

Which aftermarket windscreen (if any)?

I'm considering getting a "double bubble" type windscreen to improve the airflow around myself. I've read quite a few threads about aftermarket windscreens. There are many opinions regarding looks, quality, and function. I can sort those issues out myself.

Comments about the "melting instrument cluster" concern me. Apparently the suns rays are magnified as they pass through the windscreen and supposedly damage the instruments. Two questions:

1. How much of a real concern is this? And are some brands worse that other?

2. If you get a smoke or dark smoke color does this reduce or eliminate the problem?

My VTR has a zero gravity clear windscreen a previous owner installed. It appears to be an OEM replacement. I'm not thrilled with fit and finish - looser that stock one, gaps where it meets the fairing.

Other opinions / experience / knowledge on the aftermarket windscreens are welcome. Thanks.

FL02SupaHawk996,
Thanks for your reply. I live in Rochester NY which is probably the inverse of sun from where you are. If you have no problems with melting I sure won't. Which brand do you have - looks like a Puig? I like the shape (no creases) think it looks nice. And do you know if yours is smoke or dark smoke? It looks pretty dark in your avatar photo.
