I've thought about a black stripe as well and have never seen it yet.

I think it would look nice. I have a flat black stripe runing down the center of my bike, which is also black. So... polar bear in a snowstorm I guess, but the stripe is flat black and the main black is gloss.

I love the Idea of the black on yellow. Can't wait to see it. Will it be paint or decal?

Get some black tape and mock it up. That will give you a good idea of how it would look. You might want to check out Tapeworks - they might even have some black decal stripes that would work.

I believe that "burnt orange" was a factory color outside the U.S. It does look pretty cool I know the picture he's referring to. Two blues I've seen lately that I thought were really neat were both on kawasaki's-the electric blue they've been using for awhile-always loved that. And saw a zx6 the other day at the gym in what they call flat matte blue. Sorta like the flat denim blue you can get on a Harley-also very cool. And the stock blue the superhawk came in looks great too.

something kind of like this?

ive seen the first blue youre talking about its nice and i do like the stock blue color but im just trying to make it a little bit better. and the helmet feels like it almost has a rubberized finish to it its really neat. not sure if it can be replicated easily on the bike.

and ive got a pic on my phone of the burnt orange hawk, i thought it was an aftermarket color, its actually really nice, but i think i saw that color first being used in the car show world over 10 years ago and since then car makers have started to use it aswell.

Yeah that's real nice I like it. Oh what about a viper blue? They've got a nice color to them.

Yeah exactly-like the helmet. I'm sure it's love it or hate it for some but if done right on a mint bike I think it looks awesome

And check out Shayne's beautiful bike for some inspiration. Lots of great details (notice the filled third eye and turn signals and integrated signal mirrors you've mentioned) and super clean the way I think a bike (at least one you don't ride everyday or leave parked out of sight) should be. Wheels are not my personal taste (nor the big foam grips) but then again he didn't build it for me
