I didn't make it myself, it came from a screen manufacturer. We got him to give it to us (the guy that did the plastic work on the fairing) straight out of the mold so it had not been cut to shape. The shop then cut it to suit the new fairing shape.

OK, just thought I would let everyone know that a red LED in the front of the bike is NOT legal. Fortunately the officer was nice about it and only gave me a warning. I have a feeling that if I was a kid he would have handed me the $93 ticket instead.

Only white or amber lights are legal in the front of the bike and red or amber in the rear, so if you are installing a Knight Rider kit, make sure it is amber or you can turn it off while you are riding.

Does anyone know California laws concerning a colored strobe (in this case LED) lights on motorcycles? I want to get the Knight Rider light, but I don't want to get pulled over for it.

neat idea but i think its another way to attract unwanted attention from the police and give them a reason to hassle us for nothing.

that being said, what the hell is the purpose of that third eye??

It's a running lite. Euro bikes can turn the headlight off.

Mine still works. I just ignore it. Third leg says it's not worth it.

Where did you get your windscreen? I was thinking about picking up the Sharkskinz uppers and it looks like they don't have the 3rd light and I'd need a custom screen.

Any other color besides white or yellow on the front of your vehicle will get you ticketed, especially red or blue.

i use an led bulb in mine, after putting in my hid i noticed that the hid had a light blueish tint to it and the bulb was that yellowy color so a hyper white led solved that issue now theyre both pretty close to eachother.

anyone try these, I feel like they would be brighter than the single LED with the reflective housing already there.

I tried a "Hyper white" of the style LineArray has shown, but did not like the blueish tint. I'm using the silverstar H4 but the LED was still much bluer

Late to the party, but I just took the bulb out of mine and covered it with black duct tape. I got tired of taking it out every time I went to the track.

I installed this one. Not bad. It's a little brighter than stock, but it's much brighter without the cover.
