What have you done with the worthless third eye?

I'm sure this subject has been brought, but not lately. What have you done (and have pictures or video) of third eye modifications?

I found these:
Knight Rider mod

Custom Dynamics LED

Worthless? I've viewed the universe from the inside out, dude. :)

It's like the dangling carrot trick. I get on the bike and chase it.

I just put a superbright white led in it; maybe it helps the cagers see me a bit better, but at least it's not dingy yellow

Do you have a part number that you used? Where did you get it?

stroud119 05-05-2009 05:11 AM

Erik S. 05-05-2009 05:21 AM

if you get the street legal sharkskinz front fairing, you need to kiss your third eye goodbye, cause there ain't no hole for it.

Pure sexy. I'm getting the Sharkskinz street upper.
What mirrors are those?

shayne 05-06-2009 02:37 AM

The mirrors are a custom job I did myself because I could not buy what I wanted. Getting mirrors for the VTR is not easy, so I gave up and made these out of a combination of Honda and aftermarket bits.

Not an easy job though.

Woodytick 05-06-2009 11:54 AM

i left the light in mine on my cbr then filled it in with fiberglass and smoothed it all up.

Billzilla15 05-06-2009 01:37 PM

i am totally buying the knight rider mod

reaper996 05-06-2009 04:46 PM

Well if your serious about buying it, I emailed them cause i thought that would look tight on my flat black hawk. They said that I was the 4th person to ask about it. However they want someone to take pictures of it without the lens cover so they could get a better idea of what they need to do to adapt it to the hawk instead of RR's

salmanilla2000 05-06-2009 05:04 PM

I was one of the four that asked and they ask the same picture of me. They said that the Knight Rider light will fit, but they need a picture of the inside of your third eye housing to know what is needed to make one for your bike. Similar to this...

Is this a direct replacement, just pop out the bulb and plug in the LED? Also, is that the same bulb as the tail lights?

yea it's direct, if it doesn't light up the first time flip the bulb around and it will i have ones identical to those mine are made by piaa

no completely different bulb than the taillights

Byrdman 05-07-2009 08:30 PM

+1 on the knight rider

Truckinduc 05-07-2009 08:39 PM

I think its a waste of money

VTR steve 05-08-2009 08:59 AM

I think it looks pretty cool but seems like a lot of money for a couple of led's and a switch. I am sure that this setup could be made for a lot less money.;)

Billzilla15 05-08-2009 09:04 AM

if anyone has the know-how and wants to show us i would love to do it myself i just don't have the knowledge in the led and programing area

Moto Man 05-08-2009 09:08 AM
