Re: undertail question?

Hey JP, I got the same undertail and one of the lights on mine didn't work either. When I took a closer look all I needed to do was add a little solder to the bottom of the bulb they sent with it to make a better connection. No problems since then. If you push down on the bulb does it come on? If so try to add a littlie solder real easy fix once I eliminated everything else.

Re: undertail question?

No, they don't give you extra solder they have solder on the bottom of the led bulbs. Sometimes if it is not raised enough it won't make contact with the socket. It was a real easy fix I just had to build up on the solder.

OK I just got the undertail - of course no directions or wiring diagram. So somebody help me out.

Which wires go to which wires from the stock wiring harness. I got the turn signals (Of course one isnt working - I'm hoping its the solder)

The tailights - I have red, yellow and black on the undertail and green, green w/yellow stripe and brown from the harness.

Pretty sure green is power, brown is ground and green with yellow stripe is the brake light switch. But what color combinations go together?

So someone who bought this and successfully installed it please let me know asap.

Thanks

Re: undertail question?

I'm not sure the brand you got but it sounds the same as mine which was the rumble sport. If so this is how it hooks up, Yellow=brown red=green w/stripe black=green. The blinkers are green positive side and black goes with green.

Re: undertail question?

Yeah I got the rumble import one - thanks for the help with the wiring connections.

Now I just have to check the solder to find out why one of the turn signals isnt working.

Thanks Again!

Re: undertail question?

No problem, I swaped bulbs to make sure it wasn't wiring then I even switched the wires left-right. Everything else worked fine so I just used a soldering iron and just made the solder thicker no problems since. Good luck.
