Undertail with low or high mounts?
#2
I've got one that's very similar and personally I like the high mounts. I think it just gives the bike cleaner lines but it's all about your own tastes.
Middle picture is low mount, I have a picture somewhere of low mount pipes with high mout hangers as well, I'll try to find it.

Re: Undertail with low or high mounts?
IMHO, I find the low mount pipes with high (or mid) mount brackets (see pic below for example) look the best. I will be mounting my Microns this way this year (and using spacers to keep my passenger pegs).
Not to offend anyone but I personally do not like the way most high-mount pipes wrap around the swingarm. I have seen a few cases of high-mounts that seem to deal with this in an aesthetically pleasing manner but I forget the brands.
Either way, do whatever YOU like the best.
cheers

Re: Undertail with low or high mounts?
Had TBR low mounts & switched to TBR high mounts. (just connector pipes & mounting bracket change)
The low mounts restrict access to the rear brake, make cleaning the chain & rear sprocket more difficult & removing the rear wheel is harder.
With low mounts the cans and connector pipes scrape sooner than the hi mounts in the turns cause they stick out on the sides farther.
The high mounts do cramp your foot area more than low mounts but I have gotten used to it.
If you ride on the ***** of your feet it's not a problem. If you ride flat footed they get in the way
High mounts make the bike look thinner from the front and rear (wish I looked thinner too!)
I think hi mounts look better

Re: Undertail with low or high mounts?
Thanks for all the replies, I am still in deliberation as to which I think will look better. I almost think that the high mounts would hide too much of the undertail, but I haven't decided yet. . .
